Influencers and musicians to WME! A major actress and comedian to CAA! A Sundance filmmaker to UTA! A pile of rep moves and the Baywatch sequel rounds out its cast! All this and more in today’s Notes From the Rep Biz!
At WME:
Influencer Embreigh Courtlyn is now agented by WME. Courtlyn is 15 years old and has been rapidly gaining followers on TikTok and Instagram with her lifestyle and beauty content.
Country singer Ethan Garner is now with WME as well. The 23 year-old Garner has been slowly building up his brand leading to signing with the agency as well as Champ Management/Red Light Management.
Singer/songwriter Jenevieve returns to the agency. The Miami native is known for her signature sound blending R&B, pop, soul, and even disco. Her breakout single was the 2020 hit “Medalliom,” and her well received, second album Crysalis was released last year.
Singer/songwriter and internet personality Cori Kennedy is also a new sign for the agency. Kennedy rose to everyone’s attention via TikTok which eventually landed her on season 28 of The Voice on Reba McIntire’s team. Across Instagram and TikTok the singer has roughly 300,000 followers and counting. In May Kennedy will begin touring through August.
At CAA:
Triple threat MŌRIAH is now repped by CAA. MŌRIAH is not only a singer songwriter but an actress as well. She was named CMT’s Next Woman of Country in 2025 and starred in the 2017 film Because of Garcia, with an additional role in Reagan.
Comedian and actress Nora Lum aka Awkwafina is also now repped by the Death Star. Awkwafina has been very busy lately with upcoming roles in the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson led comedy The Man With the Bag, the dark comedy Thumb starring Milly Alcock, Kate McKinnon, and Sofia Vergara.
Another new sign for CAA is actor Daniel Brühl. Brühl first came to fame in the United States by playing Fredrick Zoller in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds. Most recently the actor has been cropping up in various MCU projects as the villainous Baron Zemo. Next up he will be seen in Ruben Ostland’s The Entertainment System is Down opposite Kirsten Dunst and Keanu Reeves. Additionally he will star in The Boys From Brazil on Netflix.
Canadian Singer-Songwriter k.d. lang is also a new sign for the agency. lang has won four Grammys over the years and made her Broadway debut 2014 in After Midnight.
At UTA:
Stephanie Ahn the writer/director behind Sundance hit Bedford Park has signed with UTA. Bedford Park won best debut at this year’s Sundance and was picked up for distribution by Sony Pictures Classics. Ahn worked as an editor on the films Winter’s Bone, The Girl, and My Old Lady
Rapper and singer Rico Nasty is also a new sign for the agency. Her most recent album LETHAL-ER was released last May to positive reviews. Rico Nasty will make her acting debut opposite Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman in AppleTV’s Margot’s Got Money.
Comedian Nataly Aukar is also now agented by UTA. Aukar will be recording a stand up special next month and has toured with Ramy Youssef, Mo Amer, and Gad Elmaleh. On the acting front Aukar has appeared in the films The Life List, Skit, and Sofa So Good.
OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN
Former execs from TalentX and YMU have launched Glossary Artists. The female-led firm is a combination of talent management, brand partnerships and creator-led IP. The agency’s initial roster includes boxer Alycia Baumgardner, celebrity makeup artist Sir John Barnett, author and host Keltie Knight, author, food, creator, Jenn Lueke, and musician, songwriter Michael Clifford.
WME music agent Lucy Dickins is moving to CAA. It is unclear who among her extensive client list will be following her to the new gig.
Sara Nestor and Viviane Telio have joined Paradigm. Both Nestor and Telio are lit agents and departed Verve in December.
UTA agent Ryan Muckenthaler has joined Verve.
Former UTA agent Nancy Gates has joined Untitled as a manager.
MUSIC NOTES
Rock band Kula Shaker is now agented by ROAM. The U.K. based psychedelic group came to fame with hits such as “Hush,” “Tattva,” and “Hey Dude.”
SPORTS NOTES
Newport Sports Management has signed Hockey Player Matthew Poitras.
Dallas Mavericks Forward Marvin Bagley III is now repped by Klutch Sports Group.
Carolina Panthers Cornerback Mike Jackson Sr. is now agented by Athletes First.
CASTING NOTES
Singer/songwriter Billie Eilish will soon be adding “Actor” to her resume. According to Deadline, Eilish is in talks to star in an adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s 1963 novel The Bell Jar directed by Sarah Polley.
Tessa Thompson is attached to produce and star in an adaptation of Katie Kitamura’s A Separation. The film will be written and directed by Jonas Carpignano. Kitamura’s novel is about a woman traveling to Greece to find her missing husband.
A lot of people are throwing on iconic red bathing suits for the Baywatch sequel series; Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, and Shay Mitchell are set as series regulars. Livvy Dunne will be a recurring character. Nader is a model who became a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model in 2019 after winning Swim Search, she was also in season 33 of Dancing With the Stars. Beck rose to fame through TikTok, but is also a soccer player. Mitchell’s breakout role was on Pretty Little Liars, but has also appeared in Netflix’s You and Dollface for Hulu. Dunne is a gymnast, influencer, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
Now that’s what’s best in life! Christopher McQuarrie is teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for a third Conan the Barbarian film. McQuarrie will write and direct the new entry which finds Schwarzenegger's Conan as an older king dealing with the ravages of time and more external threats.
Kirsten Dunst is set to star opposite Sydney Sweeney in The Housemaid Secret. The sequel to the surprise 2025 hit The Housemaid.
