Box Office Round-Up ~ 10/26/26

This past weekend was a sort of de facto final weekend of October at the box office, with Halloween falling on a Saturday next year and most major new releases avoiding Friday 10/30 as a result. Fittingly, a horror movie of sorts won the weekend as Clayface debuted with $24 million. Positive audience response to this somewhat unusual chapter in the DC Universe (Clayface being a mid-tier Batman villain, not necessarily headliner material) should carry it through the Halloween weekend.

You Can See Everything remained in second place, expanding to over 2600 theaters and surpassing its opening weekend with a sophomore gross of $19.5 million, putting it at $45 million overall domestically. It’s still generating no shortage of critical and audience buzz, so it should remain comfortably in the top five going into November and awards season.

Wildwood, the latest from animation studio Laika (Missing Link, Kubo and the Two Strings), debuted in third place with $12.2 million. In fourth place, Street Fighter dropped hard in its second weekend with just $8.5 million. It has only grossed $46 million so far in the U.S., which doesn’t bode well for its legs going forward. In fifth place, tongue-in-cheek period romance Wicker (starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård) grossed $5.7 million in its opening weekend.
