Notes From the Rep Biz ~ 5/8/2026

Rising stars to WME! A major star to CAA! A triple threat to UTA! White Lotus Season 4 and The Celebrity Traitors casting news! All this and more in Notes From the Rep Biz! 

 

 

At WME:

Actor Jackson White is a new sign for WME. White was most recently starred in the hit Hulu drama series Tell Me Lies opposite Grace Van PattenWhite will next be in Netflix’s hotly anticipated Gundam adaptation with Sydney Sweeney, Noah Centineo and Jason IsaacsOther roles include: indie film Swiped, and the Pet Sematary prequel titled Pet Sematary: Bloodlines.

 

Kaitlyn Dever is also a new sign for the agency. Dever has been incredibly prolific over the past decade, with major roles in FX’s Justified and Booksmart. She played Tim Allen’s daughter in ABC and then Fox’s Last Man Standing. Last year she was nominated for an Outstanding Guest Actress Emmy for her role in HBO’s The Last of Us. She also starred in an exec produced Hulu’s No One Will Save You. Next up, she is set to reprise her Last of Us Role for season 3 and next year’s Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.

 

Another rising star, Taron Egerton is now repped by WME. Egerton came to fame playing Eggsy in Matthew Vaughn’s first two Kingsman films. From there he played Elton John in Rocketman which earned him a Golden Globe for best actor. Last year he starred in and produced the thriller She Rides Shotgun. Currently he can be seen as the villain in the Netflix thriller film Apex opposite Charlize TheronNext up for Egerton will be comedy thriller Everybody Want to F*** Me, and Kockroach opposite Zazie Beetz and Chris Hemsworth

 

 

At CAA:

Actress, Producer, and entrepreneur, Jessica Alba is now repped by CAA. Alba has had a prolific over two decade career starting with the James Cameron produced Fox series Dark Angel, along with comic book adaptations Sin City and Fantastic Four (both in 2005)Recently, Alba starred in and produced Trigger Warning for Netflix. In 2012 she founded The Honest Company, a personal care company. Alba also cohosts and exec produced the Roku series Honest Renovations.    

 

Actor Becky Armstrong is also now repped by the Death Star. Armstong has been making a name for herself in her home of Thailand with roles in films such as TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love and her real breakout, the series Gap. Armstrong next starred in the film Long Live Love! which was a hit in Thailand and was subsequently purchased by Netflix. This year she appeared in Girl From Nowhere: The Reset also for Netflix. She also has brand deals with L’Oreal, Chanel, and her first single “Skin” was released last week.

 

Model and rising fashion star Apple Martin has also signed with CAA. Martin is the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martinhas been making a name for herself in the fashion world with gigs for SelfPortrait and The Gap. The rumor surrounding this agency signing is that Apple will move into acting following her graduation from college this year.  

 

 

At UTA:

Grammy winning Rapper, singer, songwriter, and actress Eve is now agented by UTA. Eve first came to fame with her debut album 1999’s Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady. The album contained such hits as “Gotta Man” and “Love is Blind.” As an actress Eve starred in films xXx, Barbershop, and The Woodsman. Her sitcom Eve ran on UPN from 2003 to 2006 and she also starred in the ABC series Queens in 2021. Last year Eve co-authored her memoir Who’s That Girl?

 

 

OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN

Actress Isla Fisher is now managed by Anonymous Content. Fisher’s breakout role was in the 2005 hit comedy Wedding Crashers opposite Vince VaughnThis year she reprised her role in the Now You See Me franchise for the most recent three-quel Now You Don’t. In August she will appear in comedy Spa Weekend opposite Anna Faris and Leslie Mann.

 

UTA London agent Sam Glynne has left the agency with plans to launch her own company.

 

Actor Hunter Doohan is now agented by Gersh. Doohan can currently be seen as Wednesday Adams (Jenna Ortega) friend Tyler Galpin on Netflix’s Wednesday. Doohan also has had roles on Daredevil: Born Again as Muse, and will next be seen in Evil Dead: Burn. 

 

 

 

MUSIC NOTES

G-Funk star Warren G is now repped by THE·TEAM. Warren G has been a mainstay for over thirty years in the G-Funk scene and is not stopping anytime soon with almost 5 million Spotify listeners. 

 

Alternative rock band Temper City is now managed by Full Stop Management. Temper City broke out earlier this year with the single “Self Aware.” The band is set up to play at many festivals this summer including: Reading & Leeds, Summerfest, and Outside Lands among others. The band is also set to play with Muse and Bloc Party on The Wow! Signal Tour.

 

The Temptations are now repped by Independent Artist Group. The band best known for mega hits like “My Girl,” "Ain't Too Proud to Beg,” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” will be doing a global tour in 2027. 

 

 

SPORTS NOTES

Klutch Sports Group has signed New York Giants defensive tackle Leki Fotu.

 

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is now agented by Athletes First.

 

 

CASTING NOTES

Laura Dern is set to join season four of The White Lotus. The new season will be set in France and also star Heather GrahamChris MessinaAJ Michalka, and Kumail NanjianiThe series is created by Mike White.

 

Racing drama series Thunder Road has officially been greenlit at AMC. The series will star Dennis Quaid as the patriarch of a multigenerational stock car racing family. 

 

Bella RamseyMichael Sheen and Richard E. Grant are some of the names joining the second season of The Celebrity Traitors. The series was the highest rated show on British TV last year. The series will premiere later this year.

 

Matthew Lillard is jumping from the MCU to the DCU. Deadline is reporting that hot off his stint on Daredevil: Born Again, the SLC Punk! actor has been cast in Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to last year’s Superman. It is unknown who Lilliard will be playing at this time, but writer/director James Gunn also wrote the two live action Scooby Doo movies which Lillard starred in, so the casting is a reunion of sorts.
